Like the shape and quality of the forged hatchet head and handle. Smaller and lighter weight than many alternatives. My blade did not come very sharp or very precise and was not uniform in shape, so if you have the skills, you might want to modify it to your liking. Sheath is PU leather, which looks and feels decent but “leather†is a misnomer for anything made of Polyurethane in my opinion. Basically, it’s “simulated†leather, but still fair quality in terms of look, finish and durability. As stated in the title, nice little starter hatchet for anyone interested in bushcraft, camping, etc. The “Viking†style blade is nice for camp chores for firewood and general bushcraft.

First off i got it at a good price and got it as a starter carving axe. While the steel is far from perfect it is symmetrical and seems a decent grind and geometry. What really makes it for me is the handle. It being beech at this size and for this use has little effect. As an example any more standard axe use with a longer handle i would need a good synthetic or ash or hickory. My hand is relatively very large, but this seems to work perfectly for me and allows me to do a 2 finger choke up, a full hand grip and the outsized end allows me a controlled 2 finger grip on the end.I am aware as anyone else should be while this works well for me it will not work as well for the general population. At least that is my opinion.

Really cool visually. Took camping to split firewood and within a couple chops the head came loose from the handle. The ad also made it look like it came with a whetstone, which it doesn’t. Really disappointed with the product.

Arrived with a damaged handle. Head is very loose and there's a crack in it. The axe head itself is nice for the money I paid and the leather sheath is a good addition. I like the shape of the handle but due to the damage I will most likely need to replace it before I use it. Keeping it but I wouldn't suggest buying this one unless you already plan to replace the handle.

The hatchet is sturdy and has good weight to it. Smooth wood handle with no splinters or chips. The hatchet head looks sturdy so far and has done fine in cutting smaller kindling wood and splitting medium lumber. The sheath is a nice touch and makes storage safe and easy. It even comes with a sharpening stone and two extra metal wedges if the head of the hatchet starts to come lose. Overall I think this would be a great tool to keep in an your camping accessories or in your tool shed. It gets the job done.

Das positive zuerst, die Axt kommt in einer schönen Verpackung, ein Schleifstein ist auch dabei, der Griff liegt angenehm in der Hand und die Axt schaut auch super aus.Aber der Schliff der Axt ist nicht perfekt, auch nicht besonders scharf, das muss ich definitiv nacharbeiten, damit ich gerne damit arbeiten kann

Schönes kleines Beil wurde schnell geliefert. Der Stiel erscheint mir nicht sehr robust und wird vermutlich bald wackeln. Die Klinge hat eine gute Grundschärfe und kann bei Bedarf leicht nachgeschärft werden. Kleines rustikalen Beil mit schönen Schmiedespuren. Es lag sogar ein Ersatzkeil für den Stiel bei. Gut zum Camping oder zum Späne hacken. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir.

Das kleine Beil kam gut an... ordentlich verpackt...die Scheide an der Schneide passt gut. Die Axt ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Axt nicht 100 % scharf war. Ich habe einen guten Bandschleifer mit feiner Körnung...da habe ich dann nachgeschliffen. Zum Rost und Holzschutz habe ich sie leicht eingeölt..nun liegt sie im Rucksack...Nutze das Teil zum Abschwarten von Sauen und aufbrechen von sehr groben Wild ..Ein kleines Beil ist immer ein guter Begleiter neben einer kleinen Astsäge und einem scharfen Messer....Es geht nicht um Survival sondern um ein paar praktische Handgriffe im Busch und am Lagerfeuer...Auch mit Kindern kann man so der Entfremdung von der Natur entgegenwirken.

Ich benutze das Beil jetzt schon seit ein paar Wochen draußen im Outdoor Bereich und ich muss leider sagen das der Axt Kopf so langsam anfängst zu wackeln. Bis jetzt aber nur sehr wenig. Ebenfalls ist mir missfallen das die Scheide gerissen ist und ich mich deswegen an der sehr scharfen schneide geschnitten habe. Aber da das wackeln nur sehr leicht ist und die schneide immer noch sehr scharf ist doch noch 4 von 5 Sternen.

Wir mussten sehr lange schärfen, bis die stumpfe Rundung an der Schneidkante endlich weg war. Mehr als 1h mit Feile und Naßschleifstein, also nicht nur der letzte Schliff...Ich bin kein Profi, aber mir scheint dass bei meinen andren Beilen die Schneide spitzer ausgeschliffen werden kann, wodurch diese dann Rasiermesserscharf sind. Bei der Dragon Riot musste ich wieder steiler gehen damit sie stehen bleibt.Zum Spalten von Blöcken völlig ungeeignet (viel zu leicht). Im Prinzip ein kleines Beil für die Feinarbeiten, Scheite machen, Entrinden, evtl. schnitzen. Ob man dafür den gekröpften Griff mag, muss man selbst rausfinden. Insgesamt max. 3 Sterne: Ist kein Schrott, aber weckt auch keine Begeisterung.
