I've gone through many watering wands over the last few years. None of them have lasted more than a season. Some were very expensive. Others, like the Toro, were very heavy duty and still got all corroded and became useless. Of all of them, this is by far the best as far as water delivery, and easy adjustment of water flow via the hand trigger. The spray nozzle is attached with standard hose threads, so it would be easy to use other nozzles. I can't report on longer term reliability as I just purchased it. And although it is light in weight, it is solidly made, not like the cheap junk you can find at your local home improvement store. I liked the first one so much that I purchased a second one to replace that crusty old Toro. It comes in a variety of colors too.

I see a lot of people beating up on Dramm wands. Do they wear out? Yes. Can you break it? Sure. But I still think these are the best watering wands on the market. The valve is prone to wear and tear, and when it starts to go the water won't shut off entirely. Dramm says this new style valve will last for around 100,000 cycles I believe. I figure that should last me a while. The best thing about Dramm is that they stand behind their products. I like the colors and the nozzle is really gentle on plants, while still allowing you to flow large amounts of water.A note about lead. Anything with brass fittings will usually be marked with a cancer warning due to the lead content in most brass. California has changed some of the laws regarding brass that comes into contact with water, but these wands are still available unchanged. I really don't think the amount of lead transferred to the water and then absorbed by your vegetables is going to be enough to worry about. Certainly the benefits of a vegetable garden will far outweigh the negligible amount of lead that this will transfer to the soil.

Bought this recently for my hose setup in the backyard. I already have one in the frontyard, but I have the One touch valve version hereLet me just say that both work great and no leaks. BUT if you want maximum water flow, definitely get this one instead of the one touch valve. The opening hole on this valve is much bigger than the one touch version. I tested them side by side, and the difference is pretty significant.My setup is this wand, a quick connectors, and this awesome PL1000 Dramm nozzle. It dumps a lot of water out while being gentle at the same time.After seeing how much more water come out of this one, I'm planning to replace the one in the front yard now to this instead.

I bought this after purchasing a different version(Orbit) from HD that was all metal and had a replaceable ball valve instead of this lever valve(which sounded great). This one does not put out a good mist, it barely gets any distance on the 'rain' the head is plastic and the valve is molded into the handle so you cannot replace seals. The other one was both cheaper and higher quality.

Why didn’t I try something like this sooner? The water output is so much better than your normal hose sprayer. I get my flowers wateredaround 6 times faster with this strong and steady but gentle water flow. I have a large built-in flower bed directly under my front living room picture windows. My old sprayer always got lots of water on the windows. But this directs the water right down onto the plants, no wet windows. Love it!

Works well but came without the clip that holds the handle in the open position. Unfortunately I recycled the box it came in so I'll have to figure something else out.

Unfortunately this wand constantly blew the vacuum seal on my outer hose bib.

It has a lovely spray but it is a little drippy when you let go of the handle.
