The upper cover of the Gateron Red Pro switch is fixed with four pin bayonet, which is very firm. The strengthened shaft cover frame can also avoid damage during disassembly. The details are handled carefully. The shaft mold has also been upgraded. Compared with the previous generation of shaft, the shaking range is effective, the performance is more stable, and the feel is still improved. The spring adopts a single long spring, which has a more linear feel. With the factory automatic lubrication treatment, it can be pressed more smoothly and effectively suppress the spring sound. The inner part of the shaft seat is a gold-plated contact, which has a good anti-oxidation effect and can bring higher service life and durability
The total stroke of Gateron Red Pro is 4MM, and the trigger stroke is 2MM. The key trigger pressure is 45gf. The switch uses a new anti-oxidation gold contact, which has improved the anti-oxidation and anti vulcanization performance to a certain extent, and further improved the service life of the shaft, with a trigger life of about 60 million times.
The hollow lamp position design and the addition of a transparent shaft cover are very good for the compatibility of patch lamps and plug-in lamps. The shaft body has excellent light transmission and light divergence effects. Not only does light refract around the shaft body, it looks more soft and natural. Keyboard that supports RGB lights can also bring better light rendering performance.

Picked up some of these switches to replace the Gateron Blues in my Keychron C2 (the missus couldn't stand the sound in our shared office). The new switches took a little more force than I was expecting to install, and it felt like I was about to break something before they snapped into place. They all work great though! One small note: these Browns feel built to a tighter tolerance than the Blues they replaced, and I notice significantly less key wiggle with them. They're super smooth and feel great to type on. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.

After 2 years my red switches felt to soft. These were just what I was looking for. The copper pin could be a little stronger thou I broke 3 installing them. I ended up with 1 extra.

These were my first linear Gateron switches and I absolutely love them. Cheaper than Cherry MX, and just as nice imo. None of the pins were bent, which is always a plus, and very well made. If you are on the fence about buying these, buy without hesitation!

I never tried the browns as I don't game and really didn't think I would like them, but they aren't too clunky or clanky, and I find the clacks lack that annoying click that I sometimes hear while bouncing.

the pins were slightly longer than standard and softer. but the packaging kept the pins straight in shipping.

These switches are excellent. I've deployed them on an LK67, and they're great. I've seen people taking them apart and lubricating them, but it's really not necessary. Out of a set of 70 I found one with a spring "ping" noise. I just switched it out as I had several spare. They're pre-lubricated and are smooth in their operation. I'm a big fan!
