Looking for a more modern look than the traditional pool steps handlebars/support, this one from InterFab looked great - I saw the pamphlet from a pool store and the price through Amazon was very competitive including the Prime free shipping. I measured carefully to make sure this was compatible and also ordered separately some new escutcheonsFits great, looks great. Quality seems to be very good and certainly on par with our existing bars, in terms of sturdiness and weight.

While the handrail is nice and sturdy, it came in a box that was open on three sides. It was not wrapped in anything and it fell out of what box was left and got a scuff on it. It was not worth my time and effort to return it because I would have found a large flat box to put it in.

Looks niceWhen the installer came to install the rail, he opened the box and He said the mounting hardware was missing. The installer said I would have to schedule another appointment for installing the rail. He said contact the place where you got the rail and get the hardware, then call him to make an appointment. So I ordered the same rail again from amazon. Scheduled with the installer to install the rail. When installer opened the box, again no mounting hardware. Again I had to pay him for his time. He said don’t call me any more unless you want to buy a pool rail from my company. You should put on the advertisement hardware not included. Rail only

This is a really nice, unique stair rail. It looks like a piece of sculpture. At $225 and free shipping, it is a bargain. My pool builder was going to charge me $800 to buy and install a regular, run of the mill stair rail which I didn't want. So I waited until I found the perfect star rail and my son installed it for me. You will need 2 anchors - Appox. $30 x 2 = $60 (unless you are replacing an existing pool rail), 2 escutcheons - $10 - $20 (unless you already have them); we did have to rent a drill for the pavers so that was around $65, and buy some copper for grounding it to the pool, maybe $3. Even with all that, I saved over $400 getting it and doing it myself (with my son's help). So far it works as expected an looks great doing it!

great, unique rail for our pool. our neighbor helped install it & he liked it better than theirs and it takes up less real estate than theirs on the cement. so much better than the same old rail that everyone has.

Everyone loves the look and functionality. But it is showing signs of discoloration/rusting. I am thinking 2-3 years, this will need replaced, which means tearing up concrete. Not 100% sure I would buy this again considering the experience. If I did it again, I would get it power coated.

We had the rail installed by a professional installer. The rail was install into a pool deck using a stainless steel anchors. Anchors that came with rail would not work with escutcheon covers, had to purchase from hardware source.
