My 5 year old son is very particular about his clothes, but especially his shoes. If they are not tight enough, he has a tough time getting his day started on the right foot (no pun intended). These we were able to get quickly, and we allowed him to pick the style. They go well with most outfits and you can tighten them very easily. The zip side is a genius move since high-top shoes like these can be very difficult to slip on for young kids. The zip gives them just enough wiggle room to get on fairly easily. They have held up well, and I would recommend them highly!

Our daughter wore these all day and said they were comfy and didn’t bother her. I did have her wear tall socks. these are good quality shoes without paying the larger price tag for Converse for kids shoes that will likely see rough times on the playground. They also look really cute !

I (an adult with tiny feet) have been buying kids' high-tops from Target for years, but when my most recent pair started to disintegrate, I found that Target apparently had stopped selling them, so I turned to Amazon. These are a serviceable replacement, and the nice cushy insoles are a plus. Minus one star because the laces are so short it's hard to tie them and they don't stay tied well. Easy to fix by replacing the laces, of course, but that's a little extra money and effort compared to, you know, shoes that come with decent laces already in place.
