This is what you want and what you need. Don’t bother with those 2 pack deals, this is what you want for your strawberries. I go through 2 lbs a day, sometimes more. Thank you bulk sales.

Cherries have not been very good locally so I haven’t tried this tool with them yet. I have however extensively used it with strawberries. I have seen tools similar to this in the past but honestly thought, I bet they don’t actually work that good. Lately however I find myself wasting too much of the fruit cutting tops because I’m in such a hurry. While the chickens get the leftovers, it still feels like a waste of the ‘good part’.This tool is comfortable to hold in the hand. I don’t even have a large hand or long fingers I would say. But it’s not difficult to manipulate at all. It also takes very little strength which I think will help many. It’s a simple motion and the tops are simply plucked. They release easy, too. I have played around with technique more out of curiosity. You can’t really ‘mess it up’. Also I haven’t been successful at wasting fruit either. Again, that makes the perfect tool because it’s safe guarded against the user! The tool pieces separate enough that they are easy to wash. Water, a brush and soap can easily reach all portion of the plucker.I can’t recommend this enough. It’s fool proof. It does a lovely job and gives you the most strawberry you could want without the green leafy parts. Plus it’s a time saver! It’s a kitchen gadget that has earned its place in my drawer!

Does its job. Nothing too fancy with strawberries besides getting the green off.

I selected this strawberry huller on a whim, with the idea of coring tomatoes in the off season and strawberries when they're in season. This is a fascinating tool and I like it though I am still getting the hang of using it.Most strawberry hullers I have seen and used work like a pair of tongs or clippers and are designed to be used as such to remove the stem and core of strawberries, tomatoes and more. This one is different and works on a piston principle where the blades part when the piston is pushed and close when the piston is released. Think of it as one of those grabber tools for reaching things, only instead it is cutting and scooping. And, it works well.I like the fact that it is sharp enough to cut through fruit without much effort at all but it doesn't cut or even hurt when I stick my finger in it. It's not comfortable at all, let me make that clear, but my point in trying this is to establish that it isn't dangerous.Operation is smooth and easy. It is easily workable with one hand, and the grip is comfortable enough to not hurt even small hands.I like this huller/pitter and will definitely be using it more, particularly when strawberry season is here. It's easy to understand and use and it works well.

Honestly I was a little skeptical but my wife loves her strawberries and I'm tired of dirtying up knives to cut all the stems off. This works better than I expected, just hold it, pinch, and then twist and the top comes right off. The little metal parts aren't very sharp but still function well.

Great for hulling strawberries or pitting cherries. This piece is well made and works great. The bright color means I never have to search for it in the drawer.
