Perfect replacement of my 30 years old valves which were very hard to pull open. Very easy to install too. Plumbers quoted $200+ to replace just one valve. Just removed the knob handle and the holding metal ring. Put back the handle knob with screw and pull out the old valve using the handle knob. Then push the new valve with the tab aligning with notch in top of the valve receiving hole. Took less than 5 minutes 😀😀😀

This works great. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the flow rate is not as high as the valve it's replacing.

I have a 30 year old Pfister shower assembly that I had recently replaced the cartridge on, using the recommended $24 S74-2920 Avanti Cartridge. For whatever reason the water flow was low, and its a case of either it works right or it doesn't, there aren't any adjustments that you can make. Anyway, after a few months of complaining to myself, I ordered the cheaper Dreyoo cartridge. Figured it takes a few minutes to replace and probably couldn't do any worst. Low and behold it works great. Water flow is normal and seems to work just fine. Only advice is to coat the heck out of the cartridge with silicone O-ring grease. I used Danco 88693P Waterproof Faucet O-Rings | Silicone Lubricant | Plumbers Grease.

I've replaced this part twice now on both my upstairs and downstairs showers, both times with the Pfister part. They seem to need replacing about once a year to year and a half. Each time they worked fairly smoothly when new but over time got so stiff that it feels like you're about to yank the handle off the wall to get it to turn on. I do fine with this but my wife and kids literally aren't strong enough to get it to move. I've tried re-lubricating them internally with faucet grease but they go back to being stiff very quickly. I decided to stop wasting my money on the more expensive ones because they seem to wear out so quickly anyway. To my surprise this Dreyoo valve works better than those ones did even when they were new. I've only had it for less than a month, but no signs of any issues so far. Smooth as glass. The design is slightly different on this compared to the Pfister. Pfister has a smooth metal sealing surface for the rubber seal to bear on. This unit has a slightly rougher plastic surface finish for this purpose, which I think is the secret of why it works so well. That roughened surface finish, along with the plastic material, is going to glide across the rubber more easily, similar to the linear bearing surfaces on machine tooling, which will have high and low spots to keep the two parts from ringing together and binding. At least that's my theory. Either way, this part works great and I'll be buying again next time I replace one of these.
