This board was designed and created by Wakesurfers for anyone ready to get their feet wet. We wanted a board that was easy to get up on for beginners. We call it "From Boat, to Rope, to Wake". The Throwdown Wakesurf board can rip on the water and is dynamic enough to perform jumps, spins and tricks. Entry level rides will quickly gain the confidence to pop up and throw in the rope.
While more intermediate to advanced riders can expand their level of skill and range of ability. This board is truly built to grow with the rider. We added removable fins and fin boxes to allow the rider to customize the board as the see fit. The included fin key allows for easy removal of the fins. This way you can store your Driftsun Throwdown Board in your board rack or remove the fins to safely store with other water sports gear such as a Driftsun inflatable paddleboard or other towables.

Taught 5 teenagers how to surf this summer with this board. Kids were jokes to computer geeks and they all were able to learn to surf on this board.

This board is light weight and well shaped. Unfortunately it bubbled on the deck and cracked. This company stood behind it and replaced it. I’m very pleased.

This board quickly became the boat favorite. Easy, fast and forgiving. BUT, the build quality is very poor. It developed smallish cracks on the seams not long after got it. Less than a year later it fully delaminated on the top side - just a giant air bubble. We never stored the board in the sun. Bummer since the performance of the board was great for beginner/intermediates.

Had this board out just a couple of days now and it has been excellent for our beginner’s and intermediate’s (none of us are pro surfers yet). It is solid under your feet and surfs beautifully. We have only used the smaller/shorter fins so far. Love that it comes with a bag for the two sets of fins. I put the bag with the larger/longer set in out glove compartment.

Such an easy board to use! It is light weight, sturdy, and worth every penny. I was hesitant to purchase after ready some not so good reviews, but I took a chance and it was worth it!

This board is worth the money. It has features of higher end boards. Mine came as desribed with no damage and, I would say it is a good intermediate "surfstyle" wakesurf board after using it.
