This is a great little tool to prevent debris falling while you’re drilling overhead. It’s not perfect and shouldn’t be used when proper dust collection is needed via an extractor. However it’s great for what it is on small jobs.

I use this with a small hand drill to make holes in ceilings and walls. It works surprisingly well, although it does take away from the drill bit's length due to the thickness of the yellow part. There is a room for string to tie to hammer drills so that it does not rotate while drilling and spill its guts out. I did not have to use this.

I used this when I needed to drill some holes for handing some curtain rods and it worked really well. The flexible silicone is great and doesn’t creat resistance and stays in place for the most part. Once you lined up your drill bit to your mark at an angle you can place this against the wall and drill in. I used to keep a vacuum around and will still have to put the clean up is much quicker…it captures about 90-95% of the dust/debris created while drilling and it does have a little bit of a learning curve as you need to keep the drill horizontal while pulling it out and then vertical so the dust stays in the pocket and not forward where the dust will drop off. Made the mistake once and the was conscious about not messing up again. Would have been great to have an attachment for a drywall blade but I guess the silicone would have to be semi transparent so you can have better view/control of where you are cutting. If you are moving to a new place this is a great addition to a tool kit.

This works better than expected. It fills two functions: get all the dust from drilling and prevent the wall from being hit by accidentReally like this product and use it every time I drill the walls.Recommended!

Does not work for standard sized drill bits like hanging items on the walls, the cup doesn’t allow enough room for the bit to drill. Seems like a good concept, probably useful for bigger projects. Seller should update description to advise on drill bit size. Returning.

I bought this product for a lighting project I had. I was to drill 4 half inch holes in drywall ceiling for each light. I was wanting to prevent a large mess to clean up so I used this product. It did a great job. I did not think it would last and it did. There was a little issue with the bearing but I made it work. In the end no major mess and saved time.

I had some much hope for this contraption, but when I decided to use it I realized that it "steals" so much physical space from the drill bit that in the end it makes the drilling either awkward or impossible. I may try again and purchase an extended bit in the future (hate sending things to land-fills)
