I do not have a long arm quiting machine and sometimes like doing "line" work on my quilts as I quilt on a domestic machine. To measure and keep things in line from one break to another , simply taping from the end of one section across sections quilted in a different design, it is a simple way to cross over and keep track of where you are. Once I get started, using my walking foot with a guide, makes things near perfect. Sometimes just laying the tape out on a section in different ways can help me decide the design before I start stitching.

I use this to hold zippers in place on minky backing as I sew, so keep in mind if you're ironing over your tape you may get some residue on the fabric you're using. I haven't tested it on other fabrics or with heat, but it holds fabrics in place well and comes off in mostly one piece.

Excited to find 1/4 inch tape. Craft and quilt stores don’t seem to carry or restock this item. Have looked in multiple states! Thank you Amazon! I use this 1/4 inch tape for hand quilting, machine quilting, long arm quilting and lots of painting techniques.
