I buy these patches for my sweaters. I’m always busting a whole in the elbows of my shirts and sweaters. Most of my sweaters now have a patch from this brand, and after years of wear they still look good.The leather is soft but very sturdy.My one tip would be to have it sown twice: once in the provided holes and the second time directly on the perimeter/edge. That way you’ll avoid a little loose lip that flips up. I’m a perfectionist so that little bit of extra annoys me.

Hand stitched on an older wool Pendleton shirt with some doubled up thread. Wasn’t too hard to do.Patches are real leather and soft.Some people complained about the stapled on tag. Honestly super easy to remove. Not an issue.

These are great elbow patches. They're a nice, thick leather with pre-made holes for easy hand-sewing, and I'm looking forward to putting them on a dark, wool sweater for my wife.I'd have rated these higher, except the manufacturer's packaging was obnoxious and damaging to the patches. One, giant staple held them and the cardstock header together. It was a pain to delicately undo and remove, and no matter how smoothy that staple is removed, it leaves two very noticeable holes in each patch. I don't know if these holes will become less noticeable once the patches are worn in, but it's a shame that such a good product is instantly (and unnecessarily) damaged by such poor packaging.There's something else to keep in mind. too. The instructions on these say they're dry-clean only and that they should be placed on clothing which is darker in colour than the leather. If you stray from these two rules, apparently it's advised that you remove the patches before laundering - a task which seems ridiculously time-consuming. I'd be interested to know if the colours in the leather actually leech in the dry-cleaning process.

Abosolutely love these elbow patches. One of my favorite "cold weather" sweaters got a whole in the elbow. I purchased this patches and glued them on with clothing glue (easily found at any crafts store or section) & now my sweater is as good as new. The patches also helped to give my sweater a new and improved look. Well worth the cost and actually saved me quite a bit of money becauseI no longer have to find a replacement sweater.

I liked this product because it was the perfect product to create my sweatshirt with elbow patches. I had searched in so many stores for the perfect sweater with elbow patches but none of them appealed to me, so I decided to create my own sweater. I bought a plain grey sweater, and had a tailor sew on the patches. It looked great! I have even run the sweater through the washing machine with the patches, and they hold up fine.

Great elbow patches for my work cardigan. The blue matches perfectly and the material is nice. Was a little time consuming to sew the patches on but it looks great and it was a lot cheaper than buying a new cardigan from my employers website.

Usé estos parches para el suéter de cachemir de mi esposo, todavÃa bonito pero arruinado en los codos; el resultado final fue excelente, el efecto fue muy agradable; los parches tienen pequeños agujeros para poder coserlos, los cosà a mano con un poco de esfuerzo porque no siempre se hacÃan bien los agujeros

Very good quality suede, nice colour, very rich. Suede is very thick, will have to remove them before washing garment and then reapply after, I think...
