Why buy a pin that melts when touched by an iron? I only buy Dritz pins because they don't melt when I press a seam with my iron. As a quilter, this is extremely important to me. Other pins will melt and stick to the iron, ruining the iron and the fabric (as well as being a pain in the neck to work with once the head is gone). Dritz pins last a long time, are sharp and thin, and long enough to hold my quilt patches together firmly. I always tell my quilting friends to be sure to buy only Dritz pins for these reasons.

Great multi purpose pins. Of all the options, this is a great one for most applications. The end is easy to manipulate in and out of fabrics. I use a different pin for heavy duty fabrics and quilt sandwiches especially when using ByAnnie’s soft and Stable.

I love these sewing pins. They are thin, but durable. Yes they bend when hit with the sewing machine needle, but I can bend them back most of the time. But the best part is... the heads of the needle do NOT pull off or fall off like other I have had in the past. BUT... the heads do seem to melt a little bit under a hot iron when I'm needing to press something with the needles in place. I guess they were not made for heat. LOL

I like the flat heads and the length of the pin, but they pins are very thin and too bendable. One or two of the pins were already bent when I opened the package. Would not buy this product again.

These are different from typical sewing pins. I found they are good for pinning layers such as crafts with batting. I have ordered a second package because they are now my favourite. They are flat so I can't pick them up from a dish but I keep them in a pin cushion.
