The LEDs are very useful in troubleshooting. Make sure you have the correct drivers. Also my Windows 11 pro was not getting updates and the driver s wouldn't install. 2 1/2 hours with Microsoft to correct my computer. Then the USB to RS232 worked really good.

First unit would transmit, but not receive. As I was using this in a known working setup, it was clearly kaput. Happens. Replaced with second unit. Works fine.Very handy device in a very small package. Nice to see signal states and traffic without a fuss. Blue LEDs are very small and somewhat faint, so you have to look closely at the unit. Not sure why yellow or red LEDs were not used. I’d rework that if I owned this product.All that said, for the price and size and functionality, I can strongly recommend this product. Beats the pants off what I was using.

We had been suggesting people use Tripplite USA 19s adapters but the Prolific drivers have some known issue with WIN 11 and memory management. These don't suffer the problem with WIN 11 at all.

The packaging is very basic, but the product itself will definitely work very well in functionality. You will need to read up a bit for legacy support with those devices that have a serial 9-pin port and how they will work with the USB pins, but once you do that, you should be able to use this cable for its intended design. As a legacy-supporting product, the design and build quality itself is very good and should provide very useful for years to come. Thank you for reading!

Tengo windows 10 por la razón que sea con el driver que tenía asignado por el operativo no funcionaba.Acudí a la página del fabricante y bajé los drivers recomendados una vez instalados funcionó correctamente.
