Dampens My drums so well; gives me a better overall sound for my studio recordings, and controls all the over tones, let alone I was using Moongel prior, and moongel over time gets extremely sticky / goopy, discolored, and over time when playing the wood on my sticks sheds, and moongel always would just get covered in it and looked nasty.I needed more dampening, and thought to give these a try, I mean it's still just rubber dampening so it wouldn't be no different (is what I thought).These on the other hand, only the bottom sticks, and the top is just rubber so it stays clean and does its job! So I'd recommend these over moongel any day! Especially it being WAYYY cheaperShoot I even put the larger piece inside of My cowbell to shorten the sustain and it did an awesome job! 10 out 10+!

I like that they offer the small and longer shapes of these gels. Also, the biggest selling point is that the bottom is sticky while the top is NOT. You don't get the same stick dust build up you do with Moon Gels (and other similar brands). And I definitely like that they give you a lot for the price! However, I will say that the overall dampening is much subtler than the industry standard gels, and you will probably need to use 2 or 3 to achieve the same amount of dampening on a drum. I haven't really messed with taking them on and off, but the ones I have used have stayed firmly where I placed them, even after a few gigs and transport without cases! It's a nice bang for your buck, and a nice product to have at your disposal for light to medium level dampening. Try them out!

I was happy with them at first. I was able to get the dampening I wanted and they seemed to stick OK. All was fine until about half way through the first set of a show when one and then another came comically flying off the drum. The problem might be that they lose their stickiness too easily if repositioned. At any rate, I can't use them, so will look for something else.

Not as dampening as Moongels but wayyyyy cheaper and they don’t get gooey like Moongels. But, they lose their stickiness if you take them off more than once. So, stick them and leave them or go for something else.
