We put these in all of our plastic storage tubs both inside the house and out in the garage (we live in a four season climate). I also put them inside my china cabinets and under the sinks and vanities. The china cabinets are old so they take away any wood smells especially when it’s humid out. In the larger storage tubs, we use 2-3 of them and in the hutches, I put one on each shelf.

I've been using these for a long time now for 3D printing, specifically to assist in drying filament.Just slap one of these bad boys in the middle of the spool, slap the spool in a filament dryer, and you're good to go.They last a reasonably long time so buying one bag should cover you for a while, unless you're someone whose running a print farm. But for the average user one pack should last you a few months at minimum with a moderate amount of printing/drying.

I use these in my medication bag, inside zip locked meds. They change color when they no longer work. Follow directions on package to recharge them in microwave!!

I live on the Washington coast. These are a pantry must for crispy chips, dry flour, long lasting baking powder…

Purchased 4 years ago and still using. We microwave them in one-minute intervals (up to three minutes total for larger packets), letting them cool a bit between intervals to avoid burning. The oven and dehydrator didn't work for us. We use a scale to check dryness. According to the manufacturer, 100 grams should weigh around 100-105 grams, 50 grams 50-53, and 20 grams 20-22. Since these work well for us and customer service is great, we'd consider from this company, silica without color indicators for food if available. Most of the color indicators still work, but ones that don't didn't impact their effectiveness.

I have an avoidance to disposable items. Most desiccant packs are throw away, and most people don't realize that these things get saturated very quickly and don't do their job after that point, but leave these things in service for years, thinking they're still working when they are in fact not doing anything but taking up space. This type of desiccant pack avoids both those issues by providing beads that change color as they get saturated to tell you when they no longer do their job, but then are also re-chargeable in the oven or microwave so that you can re-use them rathe than throw them away. I live in a very humid climate, and have some sensitive audio electronics I have to keep in their cases when not in use. I keep these packs in my cases, and when I pull out my laptop or audio gear the next day, they indeed feel clean and dry. They key is to put these in a case or storage solution that is *air tight.* If your storage is not air tight, these will saturate and wear out in a matter of a few days. Keep them in an air tight case, and they will last several weeks, depending on how much you open the case. But in a disposable world, I'm glad someone thought of a way to make these re-usable and last longer.
