DS18 has modular tweeters that have multiple mounting options and also a variant of looks that are all easily changed with a flick of the wrist. This tweeter has three "modes" or ways it can be mounted with included modular pieces. Mode1, flush mount. Mode 2, angle mount. Mode 3, flat mount. Which all are very useful for all kinds of mounting options but also give the tweeters a new look for every new mount used. Peak power is set to 200w with an AES rating of 50w with a very high sensitivity of 102DB so it does not take a lot of wattage to get these loud. Not sure what the spl reading is on these tweets, but they are definitely screamers. Using them on my open bow wakeboat and they sound fantastic without much more than 20 rms watts. 6-6.5", 11" towers, 8" towers, 2 pairs of these down tweets, one 12" sub and one 15" sub. 3 amps, over 3,000 watts rms. I don't think you'd need to power these with more than 50 watts as they are super sensitive and extremely loud. You'd likely drown out your mids with more power unless your set up is really extreme. I can hear these over the rest of my boats system but they add a great crispness and play hard all day and keep screaming.

Just installed these. Made my system sound much better. Now my 10 inch woofers don’t drown out the lyrics to the music. I plan on buying another pair of these.

I would not recommend purchasing these tweeters, the wires to connect are very small and could not find polarity on these both wires look the same color.they also once installed don't look very nice makes them look out of place they are not blenders by any means..i returned them only for the wiring and not because of looks.someone told me to download an app to find correct polarity but why should I have to do all that?.just color the wire red and black very strange.good luck with the wiring

These tweeters are just as good as a 200 dollar set of tweeters if you hook them up right and use bass blockers instead of the small capacitor bass blockers what you need to not blow your set up the caps I would not trust then but am blown out of the water by how loud these get when they say we like it loud they mean it I have not added my bigger super horn tweeter that am adding don't think I will need it but am adding it lol
