Pretty easy to install. Water has gotten behind the cover but nothing major. Works for what it is. Don’t except anything on a boat to stay dry.

I love that the door opens all the way, almost 180 degrees, out of the way. Several of the other waterproof covers don't open all the way. Also, the plastic cover is very, very clear, I like that, looks more like acrylic than plastic. I like that when it's open, I can see right through the plastic door, no tint, I can see what's underneath, in my case, I have buttons that I need to be able to see. Also, there is a soft grommet the clear plastic pushes against when closed forming a water-tight seal. You do have to cut a slightly bigger hole in the dash, the radio sleeve installs thru this unit. BUT, the hole is not much bigger that a standard DIN radio, maybe an 1/8th of an inch. Some of the radio covers where the cover disappears by rolling back over the top of the radio require a much bigger hole.THE PICTURES JUST SHOW IT IN PLACE, IT IS NOT INSTALLED YET, just held in place to see what it would look like. I like the way it looks!! It will move back about a 1/4 inch and be more flush once installed. The white DIN frame on my radio was loose too, so that will not be sticking out. but you'll get the idea.I will try to post a picture once it's fully installed.

I like how it looks, however 1 time out of 4 times, the door won't open by just pressing the button as it should. I've got to use my other hand to open it up as I press the button.

This splashguard is probably best for a new radio installation where you are cutting the first holes in a console in order to install a single DIN radio. I used this to hide screw holes from a previous 1&1/2 DIN CMD 4 CD player that I replaced with a single DIN radio. I also tried to avoid drilling new holes in my fiberglass by drilling new ones in the face of the splashguard that matched previous holes. Like previously mentioned by others, I had to modify it a lot with a rotary tool to make it work for me. Looks Nice, time will tell about durability.

This seems to be the best marine stereo cover I've ever used/seen. It comes at a price, but it is a very quality and solid made item. I can verify it does seal well, although it appears it won't. After a solid two days of heavy rain, not a drop was inside.UPDATE: The cover is still sealing watertight. I spent the weekend pressure washing my boat, and just for fun, I thought, I'll give the headunit a direct shot from the pressure washer.. NOT ONE drop of water got past the seal. Totally blew my mind, I figured the stream from my gas pressure washer would force it's way in, but it didn't.
