I have used DuBro products in both R/C and animatronic applications. I bought these for animatronics, which tend to be less critical but more brutal on servos, linkages and and related equipment than aircraft R/C. (a failure does not cause the animatronic to crash and break up like a failure in an R/C plane, but there is typically more motion, wider range, longer use cycle, etc. in animatronics). I use these spring clips because they are easier to remove and a little more freely moving than the plastic clips. Of the dozens that I've used from Du-Bro, I only had one clip fail and that was from opening it too many times to make adjustments, not from service. They are much, much more likely to stay closed than a plastic clip, with or without the safety cover.
