This reducer was build solidly. however the opening won't snuggly fit into a 6" pipe as it is exactly the same size. It should have either a slightly larger or smaller diameter in order to slide into the 6" pipe.

I used this to install a bath fan and use the existing duct work so I didn't have to run new ducting. It worked great, was sturdy, and fit both sides as it should for each size.

Bought this as one of the components to build a DIY bat signal, and this adapter connected well to a larger 10"-12" HVAC adapter

This item is advertised for use with rigid ducts, but it will only work for flexible ducts. The advertised pictures show the dimensions to be 8" on one end and 6" on the other end. Yes, we get that it is being advertised as a 6" to 8" adapter, and if it were actually 6" on one end and 8" on the other that would be perfect. The actual dimensions; however, are 5 5/8" to 7 3/4". This is too small to mate with rigid galvanized ducts. I'm having to return immediately on receipt and now my project is behind.

I purchased this 10" to 6" Air Duct Reducer and, overall, it got the job done. When it arrived, a few sections were slightly bent, so I had to straighten them out before installation. It also wasn’t a perfect fit, so my installer had to seal some gaps with foil tape to ensure there were no air leaks.Despite these minor issues, once everything was in place, the reducer functioned as intended. If you’re facing the same need to reduce from a 10" duct to a 6" duct, this product can certainly work—just be prepared to do a bit of tweaking and sealing. I’d still recommend it for anyone who needs a quick, reliable solution, as long as you’re aware you may have to make minor adjustments to get the best fit.

Good quality product. Fits correctly and a fraction of the cost of a big box hardware store.
