Got this for my dad. He is getting older and the new traps I bought he couldn’t set by hand like his old ones. I bought him this to use and he can now set them no problem!

This is an absolute lifesaver for resetting these traps. They are really hard to reset, and I used to use an old filter wrench, which was really hard to position. This little doodad it a breeze and resets in seconds. I don't know why the company that makes the traps doesn't include this with them. The traps are awesome too.

Pretty basic & I could certainly make one of these myself now that I’ve seen/held/used it but it’s totally worth the $5 to get you started w/ a 2-pack of Duke DP coon traps like I just did today. TIP: paint this blaze orange or put a big bright ziptie/tape on it so you don’t lose track of this in the woods - it’s painted a flat camo green which just makes it disappear if you set it down somewhere!!

Couldn't set the dog proof raccoon trap without a trap setter. Another unit cost over $43. Bought this one for about $16. Same item from Amazon.com was $6.25. Excellent tool.

My husband ordered after we received the trap. As a 70 year old he found setting the new traps a 2 man job, however after ordering this tool it has made the job a one man job.

The tool was an added gift to go along with the dog proof trap. Nephew stated it worked well making it much easier to set the trap.

I have a few traps from this company some of which are so hard to set I can’t even set them including the ones that’s tools meant for I do have to say once I bought the tool it was very very easy had them all set under a minute if you do buy the traps the stools meant to go along with definitely buy this tool
