I've used it many times to shine up my electric guitars. Sometimes the bottle sprayer portion breaks down too soon due to clogging or something like that. I just switch it to another bottle when that happens. The fluid itself is very well made. It cleans the areas and once it dries, it shines and shines.

Amazing the shine when you apply a little to a cloth. Used it on my 50+ year old Kamaka and my 6 month old gloss Kala ukuleles.

Works as a cleaner and polisher for guitars. Should last me a few years, if not decades.

I was looking for a cleaner and a polisher to get the grease and grime off my guitars. I decided to trythe Dunlop Formula 65 Polish & Cleaner. I thought, why not try a 2 in 1 formulation? After all, thereare shampoo and conditioners in one bottle, and that works well for me. So why not this? Possiblyfaulty logic but I went with it at the time.Well I have to say that it did well. I used a soft cotton cloth, placed some Formula 65 on the cloth(Not the guitar) and slowly worked on the more oily looking areas of my Gibson ES-339. This guitarmodel has a high gloss black lacquer finish. The Dunlop Polisher & Cleaner did a very good job on thefinish and did not leave any streaks or micro-scratches behind.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It was after using the substance all over the guitar that I realized that one must not get Formula 65in any cracks or chips. I am thankful that I did not have any of said cracks or chips. I am usually oneto read directions thoroughly; but not this time. No harm done but I will make it a point to inspect myguitars for cracking or chipping prior to using Formula 65 again.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This stuff works well. It was able to lift off, with some effort, greasy build-up over the last year. I amnot a messy person but oily hands can and often leave smudges that mar the surface of the finish. Notonly does it clean up the oils from my guitars, it also left a nice shine as well. The finish looks brandnew again. This 4 ounce bottle will go a long way. It doesn't take much to work its magic.I tried using an untreated micro-fiber polish cloth and that only pushed the oily mess around. That iswhen I decided to get the Dunlop Polisher & Cleaner. It definitely worked a lot easier than the un-treated micro-fiber cloth. I am now using the micro-fiber cloth to rub off any new smudges as theyoccur. I plan to re-apply the cleaner/polisher to the body when I oil my fret board a couple times ayear.I gave the Formula 65 Cleaner & Polisher 4-1/2 stars due to the fact you can potentially do damage toyour guitar. Chips and cracks do occur throughout the course of a guitar's life and can be expectedalbeit not wanted. So 4-1/2 stars because it does what it says it will do but you've got to be carefulusing it. So...be careful out there people...NOTE: There is a "California Propositon 65 Warning" on the web page under 'Product Details'. Amazonhas placed it there as a public service. It reads: "WARNING: This product contains chemicals knownto the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." Just thoughtyou ought to know.

I used this on a couple of vintage acoustics, and while it did make them shinier, I wouldn’t say it “polished” them, as none of the small scuffs and scratches were covered. But I suppose that’s what you want if you’re just trying to keep them looking good without damaging the existing finish. Martin just recommends a soft damp (not wet) cloth for cleaning guitars so I don’t really think a special cleaner is necessary. But it does give your guitar a nice shine and a little goes a long way, so I’m satisfied with it. You’ll probably want a microfiber cloth to apply and buff it.

I decided to clean my guitar when I restrung it. I don't remember lubricating the Washburn Wonderbar tremolo ever and I bought my G-5V new in '86. I cleaned and oiled moving parts and blew out the dust with an air compressor. I also conditioned the fretboard and polished the frets. The last thing I needed to do was polish the body and headstock. I found the Dunlop polish, read reviews and ordered. It turned out great and now has a deep gloss. Be sure to read the directions as it says not to apply directly to the finish but spray on a lint free cloth. It also says not to use near cracks or chips. Dunlop 65 is also safe for neck, fretboard and hardware. I should of done this long ago. Next time I won't wait 37 years to deep clean my guitar.

I have always been skeptical of this, but I decided to buy it to try after reading so many good reviews. This cleaner is surprisingly good! It gives a beautiful shine on a glossy finished guitar with no effort! Wow! No need to use much as well, I think the 4oz will last me a long time.

Podría parecer que es un simple producto a base de jabón, pero la verdad es que es un "must" para todos los guitarristas. Me gustó mucho y lo recomiendo bastante.

My guitar is brand new so there is no build-up of dirt on it but handling does produce some fingermarks. That's inevitable, but I found that by using this polish they came off with just a quick wipe and the guitar was returned to its original pristine shine. The surface of the pickguard which was beginning to show some signs of use, actually improved. Thoroughly recommended.
