I bought a zex heater with a 12v lighter plug in attachment; the zex heater had a thermostat on it and would go on/off on/off every 10sec [no doubt for safety-but as a result it barely heated the bottle, would be ok to keep a bottle warm but NOT for heating it]. simply took the ZEX blanket off, and wired this one to the accessory/lighter plug that i already had for the ZEX, and for extra safety put a fuse on it. anyways WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! the blanket gets HOT and within 20min the bottle itself was actually starting to get hot, as if you'd had a torch on it. raised the bottle 100psi in 20min [but, it seemed to ramp up, what i mean is the blanket gets quite hot as it doesn't have a thermostat; once the bottle itself started radiating heat then the PSI started going up more quickly]. i have no doubt that if i keep it on for like 45min it will go up between 200-300psi. This was with winter weather temp of 60F BTW. in summer it'll probably add a few hundred psi pretty damn fast. soooooo glad i got it. i guess i'll have to Ebay the ZEX blanket lol

Great heater (esp for the $) if you are wiring your own t stat and control for it, otherwise best to buy the premade kits. Heats up quick, no problems in 3 mos so far.

Put down the torch and pick up one of these! Heats the bottle up to operating temp in less than 6 minutes. I know it says fully automatic but it has no way of knowing what the bottle pressure is so you most certainly could overheat your bottle if you left it running. Great product for the price. Make sure your bottle has a pressure gauge.
