I hesitated to buy this drum for awhile due to the price. But I'm glad I finally did buy it. It sounds amazing! I wouldn't have given myself credit for being able to distinguish that in a drum, but in this case the quality is obvious.And it fits nicely in Terre's 24" deluxe padded bag for frame drums (an excellent drum bag, and available on Amazon from the Terre store).DW's quality shows in its products. They'll definitely get more of my business.

Nice low sound. You’ll need to install the mounting bracket. Make sure it’s very tight or you’ll get a rattle initially. Comes with locking washer. I used a Lewett DTP dual element (condenser / dynamic) microphone on my gong BD. You’ll need phantom power on the condenser side and a mic preamp on the dynamic. I used phantom on my audio interface and ran the dynamic element thru a Daking Mic preamp. The sound is ‘killer’.

Great drum! Need to get the recommended DW stand or bracket, wouldn’t fit on a Tama tom bracket.

I love this drum! and I have all DW drums , the quality is there and I have it mounted on a DW double tom mount with my 12 inch Tom.Tune it up for that King & Country percussion sound ! it's great !
