Don't miss out on this amazing fish tank. I rarely write reviews, but I almost didn't buy this because there were only two reviews, and one was negative. I set this up myself, taking my time in under 90 minutes. The directions were as easy to follow as any other furniture on Amazon. The hardware was solid. Could be installed tightly without fear of stripping. Mostly hex bolts. This feels solid - metal and wood furniture - way safer than Kallax particle board on the precipice of imploding at any given moment.Incredible value, having scoured the internet. You're going to need a real piece of furniture at >8 lbs/gallon, and there aren't a lot of options without spending real money. This piece looks fantastic and feels very durable. I love metal and wood, but I was nervous about bringing this into a very old contemporary living room. Even with the X cabinet door and the modern design and materials, it's somehow not ostentatious and fits in very well. Focus isn't stolen from the aquarium. The LEDs are a fun touch for your favorite child or home nerd. The storage setup is perfect for supplies, keeping things looking tidy, while still easily accessible and functional.Although the Android app to manage the light strip has bad ratings, it was incredibly easy to set up and worked perfectly. I'm still exploring alternative apps via Bluetooth to connect with home automation. The remote control also works like a charm if you don't need anything fancy.I installed the power outlet backward, facing into the shelf, which keeps things tidier. A power strip for additional outlets was added to the top right shelf. I'm going to mount it to the ceiling over the shelf, but it's not an eyesore. You don't see that far back without trying, and it doesn't get in the way of the LED lighting sitting behind it, either. USB ports work great and are powering my tank lighting. When you set up the LEDs at the beginning, orient yourself on how the cabinet pieces come together. If you go too far to the right, the power adaptor will be smashed. Err on "too far" to the left, and you'll have about a centimeter of LED strip that you can just peel back when you install the side panel and let curve around the corner. You won't see it, and it probably improves the lighting.Pay attention when you're installing the top hinge of the door. Make sure it's in the right direction and that you're recessing it correctly as you slide the bottom of the door into place. It's the most annoying part, but once you figure it out, it's easy. Also, the screws into the back panel corners, securing the panel to the cabinet, were slightly more frustrating than others I've installed. Make sure the little plastic feet are tucked in well, and continue to shove in/realign as you screw them with a little elbow grease.Highly recommend. When the time comes to expand, definitely going to purchase their wider version.

I wasn’t sure about this stand due to the lack of reviews and low price compared to many aquarium stands I was considering. This is for a 15 gallon Fluval Flex aquarium, which would fit well and give me a few inches on either side. I opened the WELL packed box and began assembly. The instructions were very easy and clear. Assembly was also easy, all the parts and hardware were clearly marked with stickers which made this a breeze. The frame is metal, including the front door, and there are two additional metal braces that support the top and bottom pieces. This is crucial when adding the weight of a full aquarium! All pieces fit perfectly and the hardware fit snug and created a well balanced and structurally sound stand. I didn’t have to do any modifications as with some previous furniture builds. The bonus is the included customizable color led light strip with remote that sticks under the top of the stand. Another good feature is the power supply outlet with usb as well. It’s on the outside panel of the stand and is visible, I’d prefer if it was concealed inside the stand. Not a big deal, just a personal choice. It has nice storage areas underneath and an adjustable height shelf. Compared to the more expensive Fluval stand made for my particular tank, this is by far a better (and cheaper) option. The color is nice and the black metal and grey wood combo looks great. It has adjustable feet in case you have an uneven floor.Overall I am impressed with this stand. It’s sturdy frame and cosmetic appearance was exactly what I was looking for. It looks a bit bigger in the pic than what it is when it arrives, so pay attention to the measurements provided. It works perfectly with my setup.

Ok, always worry about Chinese assembly products since something always seems to not fit. In this case, no so. Everything lined up perfectly ! Welded areas are smooth and hardly noticeable , well constructed. Lots of reinforcements to handle the weight. I was a bit worried as the box corner was crushed, but enough good packing to cushion the contents. Wood look top even had 4 large plastic corner guards. Every part is numbered and the hardware is in packages with letter that correspond to the parts need in each step.Assembly: Assembly is easy to follow , but pay attention to the part numbers and orientation shown in the step by step pictures. One hint is that the little allen wrench/screwdriver tool they include is really not the best. I suggest an electric screwdriver with a 4 MM allen bit and a good phillips head screwdriver. This will cut your assembly time by at least a third. Also, there are a few large wood screws and using their tool is tough on the hands !The hardest part is the step where you attach the bottom to the cabinet frame. You really need a second set of hands to hold the side pieces together while you line up the bottom section. The cabinet back is a thinner panel that slides into slots, and you have to keep them pushed together to keep the back from dropping out while you get the bottom panel aligned.Like all assembly projects, put all the screws in hand tight so you can wiggle the parts to get them started, then tighten all the bolts. My only complaint is really an visual thing, and nothing I would deduct a star for. I wish the electrical box was in the back rather than the side to hide the cords. I guess they did that for accessibility, and so the unit can go closer to the wall. Also wish is had 3 plugs instead of 2, but knew what I was getting when i ordered it.Overall , very nice, very sturdy, visually pleasing product, happy I got it.

It is sturdy and attractive. Easy to assemble, but does not fit a 40 gallon breeder tank. It is short by two inches. We already built it so we will have to keep it. Not worth taking it apart, we will use it for a smaller tank in the future.
