When I'm listening to my book at the gym, the piped in music is so loud that I can't hear the book while I'm exercising. I don't want to increase the volume as I already wear hearing aids and don't want to continue to blast my eardrums with loud noise. I was in a delimma as to what to do: buy $400 bluetooth head phones or buy something that can fit over my hearing aids so I don't have to increase the volume. I'm so glad I purchased these noise cancelling headphones for autism for $19 as they work perfectly. They're black, which looks like any other headphones, and they immediately block out the outside noise when I put them on. The instructions say not to put them over glasses, but I find they work fine over my glasses. They fit very snugly and I have to make adjustments for that, but it's been easy to adjust so far. They don't slip and they allow me to keep my volume at a normal level. I would definitely buy again.

I ordered a classroom set of these, and I highly recommend. There are so many brands out there, but these really hold up and are comfortable. I ended up sharing some with other classrooms, and they were always returned in perfect condition. These are great for students with sound sensitivities, but I have been even more impressed with how they help some of my students with attention issues to focus on the task at hand. Ten minutes and no progress on the assignment? Try using a pair of the headphones to see if that helps!Update: Two years later, I still have not had a single one break. Great investment for your precious funds!

They reduce noise well. Autistic son can still hear when at movie theater that's too loud. He wears them to sleep and I've tested myself and they seem comfortable. Because my son is tough on things in general, he's cracked off the earmuffs where you can't snap back on. I save all unbroken parts and ordered another. When he broke it again, I could use parts from both to make a new set.Again, my son is very tough on things. Otherwise, I believe these will hold up well if taken proper care of.

I get overwhelmed by loud sounds, particularly when I'm in a crowd or trying to focus (like when reading a book). While these ear muffs don't block sound entirely, they do dull it. The loud WHIIIIIRR of a vacuum cleaner becomes a tolerable whiiiiirr, the loud performance in a crowd becomes less overwhelming (though definitely still audible), and the quiet ambient noises around me (the ticking of a clock, the chirping of crickets, the scratch of a pencil on paper) fade away. Again, not to nothing- but they fade enough that I can concentrate. YMMV.It's difficult to describe how much it affects noise around you, but I might liken it to covering your ears- and these are generally going to be more socially acceptable than that. They don't help as much with, say, overlapping conversation in the room around you because you will still likely be able to hear what's being said, and words are one of the more distracting sorts of noises in my opinion. They do feel a bit cheap (indeed, they are a bit cheap, but I'm grateful for the affordability), but they're comfortable enough (I think personally I could wear them for up to an hour before needing a break from them), easy to adjust, and small enough I can fold them and fit them in my purse. So I'd say they're a good deal for what they are.

I can't speak to whether they are strong enough to be ear protection on a shooting range, but I bought them as ear defenders for when I get over-stimulated. They feel kind of cheap because they are mostly plastic, but they work well to block sound and are comfortable and adjustable. They are pretty lightweight and fit my head well. I plan on buying some stickers to cover the ugly serial number on the side of the ear. Overall a decent purchase.

So IΓ’β¬β’ve bought from this seller 3 times now. The first time it worked great, could barely hear a thing when I have it on. HOWEVER I lost those first pairs, so I ordered it 2 more times and guess what? Both times it came broken, IΓ’β¬β’m not sure if this is a joke but thatΓ’β¬β’s very disappointing.

I'm an autistic adult. Or at the very least an adult with sensory disorders. Noises HURT sometimes. Toddlers and small children are physically painful. I can pop these on and hang out around family when they've brought their little noise machines over. It's a life saver. You can still hear people talk really clear but background noise is taken out

Hi, I donΓ’β¬β’t usually give reviews because I donΓ’β¬β’t find them helpful. This is a neutral review.Pro - these would best be used for a child sized head. TheyΓ’β¬β’re sealed tight for that size. Also, do offer some noise cancellation. However, IΓ’β¬β’m a female with a regular sized head.Con- they easily break (because the are entirely made of the plastic). I had them for two months before one earpiece broke off, I fixed that one with superglue, and surprisingly itΓ’β¬β’s still holding! Unfortunately, when the second earpiece snapped off, no amount of glue could fix that.I bought these because the internal fire alarm was causing problems in my apartment complex. And if you know what that sounds like, then youΓ’β¬β’ll understand that itΓ’β¬β’s ear piercing!I received about 4/5 months of use.. until they became completely useless. Good value, but, buyer beware.Note- If I were to review about the shipping/supplier, I would give them an A+. They were delivered on time and very well packed. Thank you.
