Super easy to install with drill bit. Double check your door thickness. Popped right in. Took about 3 mins. Tight fit. Perfect.

This is lovely! The glass is large size for ease of use. There's a swing-away cover for the inside for added privacy. It comes with the drill bit and an odd little tool for getting the front and back pieces screwed together that won't scratch your door.

My friend and I searched lowes for the right size drill bit and they did not have one but a bit just a little bigger worked and screwed in tight it works well!! I like that you can cover the view with the flap on the inside of the house. Very thick metal. Great quality!!

Installing a peephole is a simple operation, but you want to do it the right way. If this is your first time, google something like "install peephole on wood door" or "drill peephole in metal door" before you begin. This has a cover for the inside. I haven't seen that before. I suppose it can help in some situations. This comes with its own Forstner bit. Not sure if I spelled that correctly. As I said earlier, make sure you know how to drill the hole before you start.Do it right and this takes about five minutes to install.

This is a nice quality large-sized matte black finished peephole. when looking out you have a wide range of view. The base screws onto the stem. Make sure to include the base cover, which is detachable. They provide you with a Half Moon Metal Circle to help screw the base to the front to prevent scratching the finish. They also provide a 28 bit for installation. - My Recommendation…Do not use that bit. It's junk as I tried a few practice holes with my drill and the bit kept slipping left or right making the hole larger; not what I would like for my front door.I have a forester bit set and use the 1- 1/8 bit which worked.I like that you can have the peephole squared or diamond shaped. I decided to use the diamond shape for my purposes as it looked the best.

As noted in another review the supplied bit was not getting thru the outer door skin. All i had was a 1 inch Forstner bit and went with that. 28mm is 1.1 inch so... after the 1 inch went thru then then I used the security plate hole as a 28mm template and penciled a circle around a circle and diamond dremeled the opening on both sides then used a curved diamond file to hog out and even the tunnel thru the inner door.Alot of extra work for me that couldve been prevented with a better quality supplied bit.Yeah I know go buy another 28mm but.. nah never would use it again..The barrel tightening tool will hit the privacy plate when turning at one point so try to lift one side of the tool past that hinge point or you will be grinding metal on metal. All in all other than the install issues it came out looking and working excellent.
