I needed some ice melt ASAP and didn't feel like going to HD. This was next day so I bought it. It is expensive compared to alternatives but it works well. I wouldn't say instantly like the label says but quickly.The listing and pictures of the label are clear it is 1 gallon, not any bigger. So not sure how people give it 1 star because of the size alone. It is easy to open if the instruction graphic on the lid is followed and the outer edge of the lid is cracked where the holes are. I cracked the edge with a screwdriver and it opened with a little bit of muscle

Salt was fine but that container was almost too hard to open. Will not purchase again.

No, how dare you make it impossible to open! It’s 2021, please find a better and more effective way. Even with my wire cutters it’s a little much to seal it shut. Never will buy again just based off difficulties opening the bucket then even more disappointed when you remember all that work for a few spreads of salt. Not worth it.

Great stuff a little went a long way. Fast deicing of walk path making it safe for delivery drivers.
