No obnoxious smell. Nice and fluffy and although the thickness is somewhat average, it keeps it lightweight (personally don’t like heavy blankets weighing me down) and still gets the job done keeping warm air contained under the blanket. I have it paired with another thin fleece blanket and this combo is more warmth than I’ll never need where I live.

Run and buy this while it's cheap. If you are high falutin' and expecting the Marriott comforters KEEP LOOKING! However if you are looking for a nicely weighted down alternative comforter or insert BIY THIS! I'm picky and will return to Amazon in heartbeat if I get crap but this is a keeper. It's heavy enough to keep you warm and very well stitched and enough batting to make it heavy not sparse. It's at a good price and no one will know that you didn't pay 100.00 more than you did. I'm using it has a weighted blanket under my comforter. I love it!UPDATE:2 using this comforter. 1st night I felt nice and weighted using the down as a blanket under the comforter. 2nd night I peeled the comforter back and slept under the down and a sheet and was Hella WARM! This is Mid West winter nights at 14 degrees and below with NO heat on in my room! Love this down!

This comforter is very light, soft and comfortable. Though it may be a little warm for south Florida living, it’s not too hot in the “winter†months. Not sure how warm it’ll be for the warmer months yet, but we shall see soon. Washed and dried well and works great with a duvet cover over it to keep it clean and protected from pet hair.

This comforter is all the good things. It's super soft, not too hot but heavy enough, easy to wash, fluffy and cozy. I searched everywhere and had many disappointments, but this one is great. We don't use a flat sheet...I know...it's criminal not to. But my husband would constantly shuffle in it until it's on the floor every night. After realizing we'll never wake up with the sheet covering us, I started buying all white comforters so that we can wash it as much as we'd wash our sheets and be able to bleach it. That's why I wanted to try this one. So my comforters have to be as soft as a bed sheet. This one is just right. I cut the little tabs off that you can use if you're putting it inside a duvet and it looks like a luxe hotel bed in my room. Love it!

This quilt is as soft as promised. Very well made. And the price was good. Nice that we didn’t have to wait long to have it delivered. I ordered two quilts and put one on top of the other, to make a soft bed for someone who has sore joints. It is working out great. I would recommend this quilt .
