Eastman's 1/2" NomSWT x 3/8" Comp Angle Stop Valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures. With multi-turn, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without turning off water to the entire home. The valve resists corrosion and provides a watertight seal.

I used this to repair a very old Eastman shut-off. One phillips and an adjustable wrench. And a pair of simple pliers. It works. Just saved a fortune . Thank you. I did have a pick on hand just in case of crusty gaskets stuck in there but in my case their weren't. Super simple. Thanks again to the person who mentioned this possibility in their review.

Very rough threading and not very substantial.Also the stems are not interchangeable with BrassCraft valves which have a finer thread.They would work as shutoffs but not certain how long they would last…very barebones construction.Hence, I gave them away to a DIY friend who does odd jobs.

They are what's expected..old school with a washer seal...I take 30 seconds and remove the stem before sweating (soldering) to save overheating seals ...you can't do that with 1/4 turn models.

I ordered this due to the unavailability of the valves at the local big box stores. I only used the handles with the washer assembly. I did use the bodies. My project included replacing leaky shutoff valves under the bathroom sink. Since they were welded, I did not want to cut and soldier the new valves.

What can I say.... its a plumbing stop valve. Bit of a pain to solder these things on, but it works and does what it is supposed to do.

I returned it because I had order the incorrect valve. I required a valve that would install into pex tubing. This valve will NOT work in pex tubing.
