Very easy to install. Just use some plumbers putty and a tub drain wrench. Less than five minutes and you're done!

Bought this because the flange was advertised as 2 7/8". Note that the flange on this drain is the standard 2 3/4". Will be returning and continuing my quest for a larger flange.

I purchased 3 different drain assemblies, did not realize there were different depths, this one is about 1-1/8-1-/4 deep vs. the others which are 1-5/8" deep. Our installation 1989 high rise condo has a sharp 90 degree bend so the depth is an issue. Also, make sure you know which width you need in my case it was the smaller 1-3/8 or 1-1/4 never could tell how the companies measure this and they call it fine thread.I give it a solid 4 stars because the original 1989 was thicker copper or brass and this is probably a cheaper metal with chrome plating as the threads show a couple spots of rust. Also, be wary of the plumber putty you use as some stain the white porcelain and others don't and I used liquid teflon tape on the threads and finally I was over-tightening the drain and realized later to not crank as tight as the plumbers putty was oozing out too much. I noticed this when I removed the original after I realized I had the wrong size and had to reinstall. One last note, I used a dremel tool with copper wire brush to clean out the threads which makes the install nice and easy as it is probably semi-easy to cross thread.

Yes, to confirm other reviews, this fits shallow drains. The threaded part is about 1-1/8" or 1-1/4" long instead of the more standard 1-3/8" or 1-1/2" that will bottom out in a shallow drain before touching the tub. I think one I tried was even 1-3/4".I was having a hell of a time, spanning over two weeks, trying to find a drain that was short enough to fit in my tub. Thank God we have a shower downstairs we were using. Lowes and Home Depot not only seem to have the exact same products in store, but they both seem to only carry 1-1/2" course thread in store and have 1-3/8" fine thread available only online. Why does there have to be so many different sizes? And why is the thread length dimension not clearly listed?

This product looks good And was easy to install. The problem is that it is not functional at all. I mean, You can’t take a bath at all with this garbage. It is single-handedly the worst piece of funny that I have ever purchased.

This specific tub drain is the hard-to-find part that will fit the very shallow tub shoe that other drains bottom out in. Every other tub drain has a deeper “throat†and will bottom out before it can compress the plumbers putty IF your tub has the shallow shoe.

It fit like a glove and was just as advertised. Easy to install and I wish I would have gotten it earlier.

This fit my cast iron tub perfectly (90 bend under tub) and fine threading ensured the right seal. Installed in 5 minutes with the right tools. Great value.

I bought this to replace my old drain that had a lot of corrosion on the chrome finish. I was disappointed to see this arrived with imperfections (bubbling) in the chrome finish. I expected it to be a bit better quality. That being said, the product is the correct size as advertised.

Fit very well to my old bathtub, which use the smaller size drain. Hard to find from retail stores.
