This lovely Kalimba arrived the day after I ordered it, which was yesterday. It was in it's sturdy carrying case, shipped in a very nice cardboard box made for the purpose of shipping the Kalimba along with the described tuning hammer and other accoutrements. I really appreciate good packaging. This is a lovely musical instrument. When I opened the case the beauty and fine craftsmanship of this kalimba took my breath away. This kalimba exceeded my expectations. I took it out and after a few minutes trying it out I played a little tune. The sound is melodic, like silver chimes. The wood is beautiful with a lovely finish. I have wanted one of these for 45 years but thought they were something handmade only by the indigenous people of Africa and not available for purchase. The day before yesterday (May 21) I happened to see one on Youtube and found out that they are called a kalimba. Straight away I looked them up on Amazon and after reading some reviews I bought this one. I'm totally pleased with the craftsmanship, the sound, the fact that it arrived perfectly tuned and I am astounded by the sturdiness and quality of the kalimba's carrying case (which is so well made that it must be blast-proof). I think anyone who is musically inclined or even wishes they were, should get one of these. The melodic quality and ease of playing lightens the heart during these uncertain times. It's like medicine for the soul.

What neat little things to play with even if you dont know how to play a tune,you can hit just about any combination of notes on either side using both thumbsand come up with somthing that sounds pretty! And its original!! ... even if you cantdo it the same way next time!! Like a little harp it is ! The acacia wood one I got was very pretty looking.

My instructor loved the sound of this kalimba so well he wanted to trade or get himself a new one. It was well tuned right out of the box and only needed minor adjustment. The tone is lovely

Is any musical instrument easy to learn? Is it for beginners? All require practice, unless you just enjoy making random tones, which is good too. There is a technique to the 'pluck' so the bars will ring. Also, it depends on what you expect from it. I expect to be able to play 'O Holy Night' and add arpeggios and chords. Others might expect just to be able to enjoy the sounds. It is tonal in the key of C, but I plan on retuning with an accidental pitch (F#) to be able to produce the V/V. Nice tone, and very relaxing. I like it.It has a felt carrying case, but the box it came in offers the most protection.

First time ever doing a review on Amazon, so here goes something.This is such a simple and enjoyable instrument that fits in the palm of your hands and the sound is unbelievably soothing. I literally bought this on a whim and regret nothing.The only negative thing I can think of about this Kalimba is the 6.35mm jack on the kalimba doesn’t seem to work on mine (or I just plain don’t know how to use it), I have the 6.35mm to 3.5mm jack adapter, plugged it in and then gave it a whirl and just couldn’t get it to play through my speaker. That being said even without the use of a speaker this instrument Is still quite easy to hear and you certainly don’t need the speaker attachment for it anyways.

I live in a very humid area of the country and especially like the well-fitted and very sturdy hard shell case. This package has everything you need to begin using. And YouTube has many free teaching videos as well as links to free and inexpensive sheet music. I like this so much that I'm gifting my daughter-in-law one for Christmas.

HabÃa visto en YouTube videos sobre la Kalimba y me llamaba mucho la atención, es por eso que aprovechando un descuento me topé con esta marca y la verdad que no podrÃa estar mas contento: instrumento de madera de calidad (e color azul es increÃble) y con una funda súper resistente. No soy profesional de la música, simplemente disfruto tocando alguna canción sencilla y la verdad que a mi me parece relación calidad-precio muy buena.

Me ha gustado mucho.Todavia no la he probado con amplificador,aunque sin enchufar ya suena de fà bula.Los materiales y construcción se ven de calidad.Es muy fácil e intuitiva a la hora de tocar. Como instrumento de música para relajarte y poder llevártelo a cualquier lugar para tocar,es perfecto.Llegó un dÃa antes del esperado. Bien embalado,con todo lo que prometÃa y en buenas condiciones. Ha sido una buena compra.
