I bought this Eastrock snare because it was a good match to a suitcase kit I am building for an upcoming pub tour. It’s $100 snare so my expectations were low. This snare is phenomenal. The quality of the build is apparent. I love the old school built in muffler and it came with good heads. The snare, throw off and bearing edges are all pro level gear. For the money, you will not find a better snare. This from a touring drummer who has owned dozens of snares. Buy this. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s light steel (aluminum?). Needs tuning! After tightening the snare head(bottom), I recommend inserting some air bubble padding that it comes with to filter the reverb. Then tune the batter head, and it’ll sound awesome! This is a great value after you follow my tuning recommendation.

What a pleasant surprise. Inexpensive but man does it ever sound good. I figured with the price as low as it was I would give it a shot. REMO heads and almost in perfect tune on arrival, I have no complaints. It even has an internal adjustable damper.

As a Drummer of almost 18 years now, this Snare blew my mind. I was iffy, seeing the cheap low price on a steel snare, but Boyyy was I Wrong!!! Its very well made, holds up to all my other $300-500 (name brand) Snares. I just changed the top batter head, and it now has a crispy- loud- crack to it. This will now be my touring snare! :) BUY IT NOW!!(Been about 3 weeks now since I've had it, and I will say if ur a heavy hitter like me. The built in Dampener will loosen up and jiggle around, but just take it off & you'll be fine!)

snare is very nice looking but doesnt sound to great I am still working around with it and planning on changing the top, bottom heads and the snare wires. The snare is pretty difficult to tune and the lugs are very tight which gives it hard to turn the tension rods other than that the snare is decent good beginner I would rate it 6/10ðŸ‘ðŸ½

I’m telling you this thing competes with every other name brand. Sure it’s not Tama or DW. But man you tune this snare all the way and you get that nasty dodgeball tone you’re looking for out of a steel snare. If this one ever craps out or gets stolen damn sure I’m coming right back for another one.

Sounds good after swapping batter and reso heads (Attack Super Blastbeat batter and Attack medium snare resonant head) and upgraded the batter hoop to a 2.3 mm. Cranked the bottom head and tensioned the batter head medium high.I would recommend removing the black plastic lug spacers as these push the tension rods too far out and cause them to rub against the hoop holes. They center perfectly after I took them off. There was one imperfection on the bottom side bearing edge at the weld point of the shell (see pictures). Doesn’t affect sound, but hope it doesn’t puncture through the resonant head.
