We bought this to do a brushed, ceruse, finish on poplar and walnut. Nailed it. This is a very aggressive brush and heavy sander, perfect for flat surfaces. We also bought the Restorer to do finer , vertical and plywood surfaces. Neither the Makita nor the Restorer can match this. a 1x12x12 takes less than a minute to fully distress

Wow this wheel is a beast when it comes to removing rust, it does in a few minutes what took tens of minutes with a traditional wire wheel

I make furniture. My wife asked me to make a textured/heavily brushed sideboard for the mud room. I bought this with hopes it would work. Damn! It works awesome. Above my expectations. Very easy to get the heavy brushed look I was looking for.

Eastwood and Harbor Freight power contour surfacer are the identical units, so don’t hesitate to use the Eastwood wire brush on your Bauer unit (less than half price at HF). The Bauer version does not offer the wire brush (great for opening the soft pores of oak and other woods for an aged look finish).
