Moving into a new home we have had some problems with keeping our bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. We purchased a few fans but that still did not help with the bedroom. I really like the curtains we have and did not want to replace them with blackout curtains and was thrilled when I found this item on Amazon. I read all of the reviews and decided to order them and give it a try. If it didn’t work, well then I would try something else. But! It works! It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! It is about 95 to 98 degrees outside and our bedroom was reading at 82 degrees with the air cranked down to 72. Right now our bedroom is at a very comfortable 73 degrees and has stayed under 76 during the day when the sun is beating at the windows. It is really amazing that the room is nice and dark during the day whereas before there was way too much sunlight.I read a lot of the reviews and they really helped me make my purchase and I also bought an extra box of drapery hooks as many people wrote that they wished they had bought more. I did try to pin on the liner to my curtains and it did work out great but I just did not like them because they were not flush with the window and did allow some light to come in. I also read where some people sewed the liners onto their curtains and thought about doing that but then decided to just buy an extra rod and hang the liners behind my curtains and that did the trick. It looks nice, it blocks out the light and heat and they are not permanent to existing curtains.I love how much they work! I still can’t believe the difference it has made and how much it has helped. I am sure our electric bill will be much lower in the months to come. If anyone is considering buying these liners, I would strongly recommend them because hands down they are amazing! Some reviews commented on an odor emitting from these liners and others ones I looked at. I can say that there is no odor at all. They look alot like shower curtains to me and are made of a very sturdy material. They also include velcro so that you can close the curtains shut in the middle. They were worth every penny and I will be purchasing a few more for the rest of the house. I would recommend these to anyone that has a room that is hot due to the sunlight.

I received the 96" liners yesterday and am pleased enough that I ordered another pair this morning. My bedroom is on the east side of the house and I don't always want to rise with the sun. I read the reviews which is why I only initially purchased one pair.Pointers1. Some have likely not read instructions. The liners DO cover the window, they just are not the same width of the curtain. If you place the curtain on your rod first and gather it to fit the window, and then attach the liner, you will find that the liner perfectly fits the gathered curtain and then window.2. As far as wrinkles, I had none after following the instructions of placing them in the dryer with a damp cloth for 20 min. I used an extra low setting.3. As far as a chemical smell - I have a pretty sensitive nose and could only barely detect a scent and that was with getting very close to my face.4. Thermal power. I do not think these claim to be thermal. There was maybe a degree or so difference between the lined panels and unlined. The goodThe liner does darken the roomThe liner's have a good weight.Pins are included.Use of liners allows you to keep the panels you already have and like.ConsNone noted. Some light bleeds around the curtain, but this is because of my rod, not the liner. I can fix that. Also, some light will seep through where the liner's and curtains meet in the middle. On the window that can stay closed I pinned the middle closed with straight pins. On the ones I just ordered, I will live with the seepage because I open those panels and blinds daily. In summary - recommended for blocking light with the a wrap around rod.

I live in the tropics and have had them for about 2 years now. Some I've bought in Walmart Canada and some on Amazon. My house is positioned such that the bedroom gets the morning sun and the living room gets the afternoon heat. Before installing them, the living room could feel like an oven on evenings, now it's not nearly as bad. I also installed them in the bedroom and as far as blocking out light goes they work pretty well. The ones that came from Amazon has velcro in the middle which allows you to to keep them together even if the wind blows a little. The ones from Walmart Canada did not have the velcro, though they were made of the same high quality material. You can use them with double-rods or just pin them to the existing curtains with the provided hooks. The double rods work better in windy locations since the hooks can become detached from the blackout panel and you find yourself endlessly replacing them.I wish they would make them slightly wider so that instead of having to use four, I would only need two per regular 4x4 window. In order to benefit from the sound dampening, thermal shielding and light blocking benefits you would bunch them up a bit, not stretch them flat out and allow them to overlap the window by a couple inches. They work leaps and bounds better than the panels that have the blackout material built in since those seem to be made from a different material that can and will eventually flake off.If you value your sleep you will want to make your bedroom as dark, quiet and comfortable as possible, by using these blackout blinds you are well on your way to getting there.

These are decent quality and very easy to "install". They give our current drapes a much heavier, nicer look and black out the room of natural light when we need that. I was really impressed - I was expecting poor quality and little blackout - and these are a great product.

La descripción no estaba tan clara y las compré pensando que eran más anchas, sin embargo, las usé en otra ventana y cumplen con su función.

Help me sleep in, block light great, also prevent some heat loss in our harsh Canadian winters- AND prevented my room from becoming an oven during the heat waves this summer. You can never win with the weather up here but you can at least make your life a little less miserable by getting a pair of these.
