No sunburn, no stings (not really many jellyfish around), and did a good job keeping sand out of my "shorts" area when body surfing and boogie boarding in beach breaks. Surprisingly was not hot to wear in the sun on the beach in Florida.

My actual size is XL, slightly bigger. Let's say it is XL for Columbia wear.I bought this one XXXL. And it is slightly on a big size. Do your math.Water is going away alright.
