I create table lamps. This item works great. Use 18/2 wire so it can fit inside the rod. Satisfied with the product.

I used this kit to replace the hanging cord on a lamp with solid tubing. It worked really well, and I was able to run the existing cord up the tubing. I noticed that the threads on one of the short connectors were defective, and allowed the tubing to simply slide out. This could result in a light fixture falling. Fortunately, i only needed one section of tubing and two connectors for my project, so I had enough good connectors.

We ordered two packages of these. Packages have the same labelled part number on the bag - HOWEVER, one set is flat black and the other is gloss.Great, now going to the store to get some flat black so I can make them all the same.No, I'm not going to send it back and hope to get two of the same since I don't need the delay.Well, I painted the gloss ones flat back so they match the other six - but, after installing these as two rods made of five sections each, I found the threads are crooked and weak causing the rods to NOT be straight and the threads to strip out. Very weak "pot metal" that can't hold a thread, very bad manufacturing where the pieces cannot be screwed together and be straight.Why is manufacturing requiring the customer to buy something new, bring it home and then have to fix it? Didn't someone in the factory realize they loaded the painter sprayer with a different sheen?I'm going to try and return these even though I painted six of them to match the other six plus some have stripped threads. Wish me luck. So far these have been a waste of my time, effort and money.

Product looks fine. The couplings are not as pictured in the listing. They are the same OD throughout. The pictures showed a more "ornate" style.I plan to use these an don't anticipate any problems.
