Hi quality fitting used on Ford radiator for 302 motor. I tried to use a drain cock from Home depot. I had two break. First had the thumb screw crimp come loose and would spin but not open. The replacment would leak and not shut closed. Cheap Chinese import parts! This one is not leaking and will be able to connect a hose to it when I need to drain it. No more coolant on the floor. Happy with item and I recommend it.

Worked great on my new aluminum radiator. I like that I can attach hose to direct draining fluid in bucket and not all over core support or floor.

This is a good valve, but it opens very easy. Make sure you don't have anything to close to it than can move around and potentially open this thing. It happened to me and I lost a little coolant because the fan shroud was too close. No big deal really, I just trimmed the shroud to give more clearance and it seems to be working fine now.

The as-delivered valve did not have a barb on the end of the hose fitting, as shown in the product photo (which is the only reason I bought this $17 version instead of cheaper, non-barbed versions). Possibly a fine product otherwise, if the barb doesn't matter to you; but, I couldn't say. Middle-of-the-road 3 stars. I returned it.
