With over 50 years of manufacturing experience, a commitment to OE form, fit and function, and unparalleled technical support, Edelmann is your best choice for power steering replacement hose and parts. Edelmann OE quality power steering hoses and components are crafted from long-lasting, high-performing materials that ensure durability under the harshest conditions on the road. That commitment to OE form, fit, and function ensures ease of installation, correct hose/tube routing and leak free performance. Hose construction withstands internal oil temperatures of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring component integrity in high-heat, high-stress operating environments. High-tensile strength braided fabric helps Edelmann pressure hoses withstand pulsation pressures up to 1,500 PSI and bursting pressures that exceed 6,000 PSI. Edelmann power steering pressure hose covers are highly resistant to oil, heat and ozone which cause ordinary assemblies to fail prematurely. Flared ferrule ends prevent pinching or cutting of the hose at tight bend locations. Metal tubing is coated with a Zinc-Aluminum Alloy, with an Aluminum-Rich Epoxy topcoat, and the couplings and fittings are zinc-plated for rust and corrosion protection. If required for the specific application, mounting brackets, heat shields and convolute tube sheathing (to protect hose) are included. When replacing a failed hose, whether from leaking, bursting, hardening/brittleness, or sponginess, choose the Edelmann hose for your application to ensure a durable replacement that will give you peace of mind as you travel down the road.

This hose assembly fits perfectly as a replacement for one that is leaking in a 2009 Honda Odyssey. O-rings on the pump and power steering cylinder are included and fit perfectly. The old pressure switch threads fit perfectly but required replacement of its (not included) O-ring. The silver cover was in the same position and was the same size as the cover on the old hose assembly. Bends in the rigid tubing are the same sizes and angles as the old hose assembly and did not require and hand bending during installation. This was not the least expensive option but installation difficulty met my expectations and there were no disappointments. The two grommets on the lower rigid section and the grommet and clamp on the flexible section needed to be transferred from the old hose assembly and all fit perfectly. Getting the flare nut loose from the power steering cylinder always seems to be difficult on Odyssey because of angles, limited wrench clearance and wrench ends that always seem to round over the hex. To remove, I left some oil in the system and carefully used a hacksaw blade to cut the hose just above the flare nut, using the flowing oil to keep shavings out of the cylinder. It was then easy to remove the flare nut using a deep socket. The flowing oil will make a mess though, so have a drip pan available as well as some cat litter to clean up drips. A cap was included to keep the end of the new hose free of dirt while routing new hose assembly. The process took about 2 hours from the first lift until tools were put away.

This is a solid replacement for a power steering line for a 2008 Honda Odyssey. Replacement if fairly easy. Just go to YouTube and search for videos. Toughest part is getting the old fitting off (at the bottom). Most people say it is easiest to just cut the old line and use a socket, which is what I ended up doing. This line did come with a new O-ring for the top side. However one thing it is missing is the rubber mounting hold-downs on the line that the original had. I ended up cutting them off my old line, put them on the new line, and then super glued them where I cut them. Seems to be holding. -1 for not having the rubber mounts. (They don't exist in the photo, but if you are listing this as a replacement for a 2008 Odyssey, it should come with them IMHO).

This part fit my 2010 Honda Odyssey Ex as expected. It is working well months later. Some tips to DIY folks: It is a mostly straightforward job. The top connection near the pump and the brackets are easy to get to, but the bottom connection is quite difficult to get to. To get the old line off at the bottom, the YouTube video that suggests simply cutting the old line, so that you can get a deep ratchet on the old bolt, is really helpful. Still, getting the new one on, there is not a lot of room to turn your wrench...not many degrees any way you come at it. In the end, the best way to come at it is to remove the air hose into the engine and reach *down* from the top.

Did the job, so far so good but that job is a real beach, replacement fit exactly and didn’t leak, still holding up months later, but it is a really really easy to mess this repair up and takes a whole weekend to allow enough time for swearing and bleeding and threatening the vehicle with fire and that’s just trying to get the old line off.

It worked, it's installed. And the hose quality doesn't look bad. But if I were doing it again, I'd choose REIN PSH0470 which has the grommets for the support clamps installed rather than having to cut the rubber grommets on the old hose and kludge them onto this one. Waste of time/effort can be saved by purchasing a part that has those grommets.

The bends are not 100% accurate, the fitting at the rack was giving me a hard time. It wasn't straight into the rack which was why I couldn't get it started. Had to bend the tube slightly.Only reason why I gave it a 4starOther than that it's installed and seems to be working properly
