Easy Installation
This part is easy to install. Tips for replacing your ice maker:
- Turn off power and water: Unplug the refrigerator or turn off the circuit breaker, and turn off the water supply
- Remove the front cover: Use tape to secure the flipper cover on the left wall in front of the ice maker
- Remove other parts: Take off the wire harness cover and the ice maker itself
- Attach the new mounting plate: Attach the mounting plate to the new ice maker assembly
- Plug in and slide: Plug in the wire harness and slide the ice maker assembly onto the mounting rails
- Reassemble: Replace the wire harness cover and reattach the front cover
- Turn power and water back on: Restore water and electricity to the refrigerator

It works well. Makes ice like crazy. I did have to take the water collector bin off the old one and put it on the new icemaker. The collector on the new icemaker was made for a different installation. The tradeout was easy.

Installation was simple. The plastic connector was slightly larger than the old unit but we managed to attach it, although it did not snap in completely. But the replacement unit does work well

Bought Whirlpool's icemaker kit for their top in-freezer model: ice tray delaminated to leave dark specks of material in cubes after 2 years then failed to eject cubes, cubes ejected wet then froze in giant lump. This unit came with two wiring sets that did not fit: reused old one that fit perfectly. New unit is made differently and will likely avoid us from sorting out black spotted ice. Running fine for past week. On time, packed well.

not an exact replacement for my fridge. It does fit, it does work. Does not have rapid ice production feature that my original did have. The biggest problem is, so far it does not turn off, unless I manually raise the "metal bar".

This ice maker fits perfectly into my 27-year-old Kenmore refrigerator model #10657077791, AKA model #25357672790. The cable matched my plug and other than having to remove the knockout to allow the water hose to fit nicely, it was easy to install. This ice maker started producing ice within 24 hours, and ever since it's been regularly making great ice. I am delighted with this product and highly recommend it.
