I was rather annoyed when I spent $80 on my Sirius package, and it came with that large, ugly cigarette lighter plug. It is 2015, how have we not realized we can just add a fuse? This is so good if you hate plugging the plug in and then pressing the power button. It's also great if you just hate how the plug looks! Now I have this nice and clean install with the convenience of never lifting a finger for my satellite radio. If you're reading this, but it.

Not much needed to describe how this thing works. This product works great!! I was able to use this to get rid of the cigarette lighter plug that came with my SiriusXM receiver. I now am able to use the cigarette lighter outlet for other items such as a phone or GPS charger.I connected the Direct Hardwire adapter to my vehicle using a fuse tap. I simply attached the red wire to the fuse tap and the black wire to a grounding screw on my car. Then I ran the wire behind the dashboard. (I did this with the AUX cable and Antenna Cable as well) which makes my radio look like it was mounted professionally. Then I plugged the fuse tap into an empty space in my fuse box. Job complete! It works so well I purchased a second one to hardwire a radio in my Fiance's vehicle.

If you have XM radio, this makes the install nice and clean. I used an add-a-circuit to power out of the fuse box and have no wires running visible in the car. Before I got this, I had to plug it into the lighter. Be sure to use a circuit that is connected to the key so it shuts off when you turn off your car.

This works very well. Just be sure to have enough length for your installation. Mine only needed to go from the center console for power to the driver side dash and I had a couple of feet to spare for length. Be sure to by an appropriate fuse fuse holder I chose this one for my application but you can do without if you choose to I temporarily installed it by putting the power cord right next to one of the legs of the fuse circuit I was using to power this on with my car ignition.

Easy to install. You may want a car fuse “add a circuit “ to piggyback off an existing fuse. Very nice to have the 12 volt “cigarette†adapter free for other uses! Makes the XM radio install look clean!

Works great, so far. Perfect solution for my application (Honda GoldWing). I purchased two of these power adapters, one to power my Sirius SAT radio and one to power my Garmin GPS unit. Ive only had them in service for a few weeks. I hope the withstand any vibration from the motorcycle.
