Seems to work very good for the price point. I bought it for my son's cornhole game so time will tell on the durability. I saw where people were complaining about it being in metric, flip it over, it's in inches/feet on the other side of the tape. Also it doesn't have a hook, but that's not a deal breaker at the price, add one! With using it for cornhole, I'm sure someone will be there to hold it! ðŸ˜

I purchased six (6) units for our golf club (one for each 4-some) to measure "closest to the hole" on par 3's. So far I've received great reports from the members. Easy to pull out tape; easy to retract tape; tape doesn't tangle. Note: Our club has used it for 2 rounds. If anything negative happens, I'll probably rerate item (if vendor will allow a rating adjustment).

I purchased 4 of these to use for measuring the distance for "Closest To The Hole" contests for our weekly golf tournaments. The ad said it comes with a hook, which is what you need to hook around the flag but it doesn't have a hook; just a plastic square hoop. We had to modify all 4 tapes but they are working well.

So I am a real etate professional and I measure properties everyday. I needed a new tape and bought this one as it was somewhat compact and light. It arrived and muchh to my chagrin, it doesn't have a hook on the end, only a D-ring/buckle (which is useless if your measuring something by yourself with no help from a 2nd person). In addition the side of the tape you read is in metric while the opposite side is Imperial. Again, not a great tape for the Imperial Measuring Market, which is the standard in the USA. So while the tape appears solid, the d-ring will tear off rather quickly if heavy force is used. It works well and retrival of the tape into the unit is fast and effortless. If it had a hook instead of the D-ring and had the imperial measurment on the side you read normally it would get a 5 star from me. Please note, this is not an issue with the seller nor the tape as I should have been more careful in picking out a new replacement tape for the one I had.

It's a decent tape for the price. If you roll it all the way out take out the one screw lift the reel out turn the tape over on the peg and close it up the same way the US markings are up. Easy fix took a couple of minutes.

My daughter kept stealing my regular measuring tape so we found her this for her birthday. She loves it. I'm sure it wasn't intended to be a children's toy but is sure works well as one.I do borrow it often for measuring some things that aren't practical to measure with an ordinary tape. It's really good for measuring flexible stuff like fabric or wire, or things that are really big.The best part is my kid loves winding it back up, so I never even have to put the tape away.
