Seems to work great. This is not the type of item that we think about daily. My previous one did not break it just no longer fit my needs. I needed the model that could power more than one bell/buzzer/chime. I added a 2nd bell upstairs as I have a family member that is hard of hearing and often misses guests or deliveries. I like that with this transformer I can add up to 4 as I just might put another in the basement. It was not over packaged and came with very little instructions. Mostly I stated the same things that were in the products description but also had "see the instructions that came with the specific model doorbell". I found installation easy as I hooked this one up exactly as the old one was and took less than 15 minutes.

This transformer I'm sure works perfectly well, but Ring Pro users looking to upgrade may want to be careful. I may have broken my Ring Pro when 2 years after purchase I tried to go from a 16v 10VA transformer to this one. My Ring showed no signs of life at all until I went back to the old transformer (the mechanical chime would work if I shorted the doorbell button leads, so I know the new transformer worked). My Ring Pro eventually gave an error code (flashing blue light at the top of the circle) that I couldn't find any online reference to, and the Ring rep gave no explanation for. They advised that 24v 40VA transformers are only to be used if you have both a front and back doorbell button (and, presumably, a mechanical chime). I ordered a 16v 30VA transformer instead for my next Ring doorbell.

Had Ring doorbell pro. Initially installed with recommended replacement transformer for doorbell chime. Worked but not well. After three months did not work at all. You Tube had video about fixing the problem with better transformer. Now I get a very good power showing for the Ring and almost perfect wifi connection. Ring doorbell pro working as it is supposed to now.

I bought this transformer as a higher power option for a ring video doorbell. It worked fine for 3 days, and then failed (not voltage output). I just got around to working on the project again today, but I see the return window has expired, and I see no way to leave the seller feedback other than through this review. I give it 1 star because of the failure, if I could get a replacement unit and it continues to work fine, from a functionality unit I would give it a five.

I used this to replace and existing 18volt transformer, because I was upgrading the doorbell to a horn/light flashing CFA device. I just had to remove the included screw that was included in the mount, place this transform into the hole where the old transfer was installed and then reinsert the screw and snug it down. Voila! Transformer successfully mounts.Works well with new CFA device.

I don't know why Amazon shipping people insist on putting rather heavy items packaged in flimsy boxes to begin with, into their shipping bags. This one came with the box destroyed, the mounting brackets bent, and no doubt the rough shipping led to it's ultimate failure.

I bought this for my parents so I could wire up 2 doorbell chimes to one button & transformer. It is made well, and it provides all of the power necessary! Despite tightening the locking/mounting screw on the back, I could never get this transformer as tight to the Jbox as I'd have liked. At no point was it about to fall off, but it did not inspire the confidence I would have liked. It fits a 1/2' Jbox knockout hole.

I added a 2nd chime-set to my doorbell system, but then they both rang poorly. Under powered, half hitting chimes was all I had with my 16V 10amp transformer. But THIS transformer gives me sharp, full powered chime-hits with each press. Additionally, the original chime set - that was too quiet for me - rings louder now with the new transformer. I probably could have gotten away without adding the 2nd chime set if I had only changed out the transformer.
