Good heavyweight quality. Looked like new after being washed once in the dishwasher. Bottom rack. Lid is attractive Amber glass. The size is big enough to cook a generous recipe for a family.

My cooking arsenal has been strengthened with the E-far 3 Quart Stock Pot. Inexpensive, very good stainless steel stock pot. Good, properly fitting tempered glass top. I highly recommend this item.

My wife has an expensive set of (famous-chef branded) pots and pane. They are stainless steel but have a large hunk of metal welded to the bottom as a heat sink. These can't be used on high heat settings -- I think the different expansion coefficients of the two different types of metal could cause the heat sink to separate from the stainless steel pot. In any case, it takes 15 minutes to bring a 1/2 gallon of water to a roiling boil. This pot is one piece of stainless steel, so I can use on the highest heat setting of my electric range. Now it only takes about five minutes to bring 3/4 gallon to a roiling boil.Also, it is really nice looking (although the tinted lid is attractive, it makes it harder to see inside the pot when water vapor condenses on the inside of the lid). Even so, I love this pot.

I didn't want to ruin my good pots trying to cook caramel...I have done it- it's not pretty. This worked great and cleaned up great too. Maybe I just made the recipe right this time...not sure....but the pot is worth it.

Compre esta olla, no la use al momento, pero cuando la use me di cuenta que no estaba firme, esta denivelada, no se si aun tengo tiempo de devolverla. En verdad no me gusta, y me quema la sopa
