I was skeptical with so few ratings. However, I purchased anyway as it claimed to work with induction. And since my house fire I haven't had my gas stove, only my portable induction cooktop and small pans. Since I was in need of a large stock pot, I searched and found this one. I've been using it for about a month and I've come to really like it. It's large enough to hold plenty of ingredients for large quantities of food. With Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching, and my wonderful experience with this pot, I just purchased 2 more today and decided to make a review. The pot is heavy and sturdy. The handles are large and remain cool to touch for lifting off the cooktop, at least with induction heating. And for a stock pot, it has a pleasant appearance and doesn't look bad sitting on the shelf when not in use.If you're looking for a large stock pot, then you are aware of a stock pots many functions, such as, making large amounts of chili, soups, stews, doing your canning or whatever else you use it for. This pot is large enough and sturdy enough to fulfill all those tasks. I have not had any issues with uneven heating or any other issues.I'm truly pleased with this purchase and look forward to the 2 more I purchased today arriving to assist with the coming holiday feasting. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all!!

I was looking for a large non-reactive stock pot for canning and landed on this item. I'm so glad I did.The best thing about this 8-qt. stock pot are the handles. These things are the way handles should be made. I put the water in the pot, brought it to a boil, and left it at a full rolling boil for about five minutes, and the handles were still not even close to being hot. The pot was on the largest burner on my gas stove. The handles are big enough for large hands, as well as hands that have to account for long fingernails. They add a sense of security to moving the pot. Also on my list of things I like about this is the seal around the lid. When I removed the lid, steam just billowed up. It had not been escaping around the sides. That's an impressive lid in my book. The lid fits snugly on the pot, and I love the venting hole in the top. The lid handle is a generous size, which I also like. The lid handle did not stay cool while I was using it. I'll use hot pads, as I do with all my other pots and pans.I'm unsure how I feel about the tinting on the lid. The amber color is different and looks cool, but it also kind of made my spaghetti sauce look burnt even though the sauce was fine. A learning curve will resolve the issue, I suspect.I've run both the pot and the lid through my dishwasher on the bottom rack and had no problem.
