Opening this box, I saw that everything is well protected. each item was individually wrapped in bubble wrap. That to me tells me the manufacture truly cares about first impressions. And it worked for me, as I was impressed with the packaging.This is a nice Colander with nested bowl. It is very lightweight and seems to be made well. As far as material, the about this item states: E-far colanders with mixing bowls set are made of food-grade stainless steel without harmful substances. But it does not state the material type. I am a mechanical engineer (PE) and there is a difference in stainless steel materials. However, I cannot let that detour me as this is a very nice set of bowls.The 4.5 QT mixing bowl is formed with precision. The main bowl does not have any wrinkles, burrs or sharp edges anywhere. And the ring that nests inside of the top lip is also well formed. (see attached pictures). And had a very grippy silicone dipped bottom that does not slide around on my countertop. I do like the clear cover that comes with this set. The opening is plenty big enough for a mixer to be used. However, the supplied three graders do not fit. I tried each and every one of the graders. I was concerned if I use too much force, they will just break the clear lid.The 3 QT colander is also formed with precision. Once again, I did not notice any wrinkles, burrs or sharp edges in or around any of the perforated holes. I do like that the colander rotates when you want to pour out the run-off, but if you forget to put your finger on the studs… the entire colander will just fall right out.My opinion, this is a good mixing bowl set, but not everything fits together, (especially the lid attachments). And that is the reason for my 4-star review.
