I needed to replace my original EGR valve which was deteriorating apart. Purchased this one new in the box and the installation was not a problem but after I put a few miles on the truck it started throwing EGR fault codes which kept returning. Insufficient dpfe sensor low, etc. I kept troubleshooting all the connectors, wires, vacuum lines, PCM, etc. never thinking it could be the brand new EGR valve with those built in sensors. But it was. I just replaced it with a genuine Ford Motorcraft egr valve and the problem codes are gone. I won't buy cheap unbranded parts anymore, just genuine Ford Motorcraft from a Ford supply company. There are cheap Chinese "Motorcraft" boxed knockoffs flooding the market so buyer beware.
