I got tired of wax getting all over my wetsuit so I started using bass wax. I've been happy with the amount of stick that I get as well as the clinginess of my wetsuits.

You must have tropical wax in Costa Rica, sticky bumps is my go-to every time

I've been using sticky bumps for many years now. It's my favorite wax for the tackiness and smell. I tend to put on a nice new basecoat 2-3 times a year and then refresh most sessions. If you are new to surfing the key to buying the wax is to make sure the temperature aligns with the water temp you are surfing in. Its not a huge difference but the wax gets a bit funky and will melt easier if not for the right temps.

Sticky Bumps is my boyfriend's favorite surfboard wax. We live in a milder climate so the tropical won't work during the cooler months, but this is the correct temperature for May - November, which is also his preferred time to go. We also usually take at least one beach/surfing vacation per year and those are always tropical! I love the smell of this one!
