Haven't used yet but I am setting up a small personal micro lab and the container will be used for rinse stations for Gram Stain slides...

I've been experimenting with microscopy, and saw these on a video. Definitely worth getting: don't take up much room, keep the stain fresh and don't spill.

Not the most perfect or best ever Coplin jars but for the price they're good. The lids kind of leak when the jar is turned on the side or knocked over by mistake but overall, the stains don't appear to be evaporating...

Just what I needed.

These fail utterly. The slots are so wide / fingers so low that slides can slip from one slot to the next. How how how do you spend time and money engineering a injection molded product and fail to check it for the most basic use. A staining jar has to hold slides upright, and separate.

Edit- one will not close properly. It has "stripped", or something, which is a problem with plastic. When you tighten it, it will just continue to go round and round. Another, that carries my fixing agent, will evaporatorate from the jar. This just means the seal is not that good. Looking to go back to glass. Still not bad, but I personally need better. These are great! I was looking for Coplin jars with tight lids & these did the trick! Only drawback, you can’t see through them. Oh well!

I use them to store dyes that are used to review canine vaginal cytology smears and I am very satisfied.

Los tres frascos cierran bien y al colocarles agua y voltearlos no se derramo nada. La tapa y la cuerda no son de uso rudo, hay que cerrarlos con cuidado y no forzar la cuerda.
