I bought this to make solar fire with. It magnifies well but is very poor compressing sun light into a small area. A wallet size fresnel lens beat it in testing. The thickness (quite thick) and the smaller wide are what make this a poor combination for solar fire.

This arrived chipped and marred.It was packaged well--well enough that I can confidently say this damage did not happen in shipping. Did the person packing it up fail to see that it was damaged? Did the QC department miss it? Who knows, but this is not the quality of product depicted in the listing. Compare the actual edge to the edge of the product shown in the ad, and you'll see a huge difference.Additionally when doing this review, I looked at other reviews of the product. The add has a lot of five star ratings that have no reviews at all, so I'm questioning that as well. I have no idea if this is a good deal for a poor quality product or not, I just know the one I received was not good quality, the ad is misleading (deceptive perhaps), and the listing looks sketchy.

It is what it is! Purchased for a laser experiment and fitted to the assy just perfect. Good quality and came as it was advertised with no problems!
