The weight on the bottom is kind of big but this secchi disk holds up great! I use it almost every day, multiple times a day. I would definitely buy again!

Good quality disc, the string is pointless as you need to measure the depth. It was easy to replace the string with a measuring device.

I found the weight of the disk was a bit too light for the diameter of the disk, so it tends to sway back and forth as you are lowering it into the water, and it too easily flips on its side rather than remaining horizontal in the water. I will have to add some weights to the bottom in order to stabilize it.
